Tis' the nite before Christmas
We're here at our shack,
woodstoves a burnin',
with a small window cracked.
Our tree is lit up,
with small LED lites,
powering tree and TV,
off solar tonite.
Just a few presents,
are all that we have,
We would've bought more,
but the economy's been bad.
Our Christmas Eve meal.........
freeze dried Chili Mac.
The wife's makin' us drinks,
hers Vodka....mine Jack (old No. 7)
We're getting texts from the grand kids,
wishing good cheer......
texting is cool,
but wish they were here.
Joking and laughing
we heard such a clatter!
I jumped off the couch,
to see what was the matter.
I opened the curtains,
cause we don't have a sash,
It's not St. Nick
just a coon in the trash!
Tho times may be hard,
the future's still bright.
Happy Cabins to All.......
And to All a Good Night !!!!!!!!!!
( gotta go now..... A Christmas Story is on the tube)
