Just got this warning from the fire dept. for fuel geysers, which I had never heard of. Looks like Stihl chainsaws are big on the list, due to no fuel tank vent (?). Make sense to you guys?

Yep. It happens with a few brands of chainsaws. I have stihl, older homelite, craftsman, and poulan saws. I think all of them have done this. I think part of it might be from filling/over filling the gas tank.
. Also don't open the cap with your face over the tank or with the saw between your knees on the ground. I saw a guy get gas blow out on his crotch. Never seen a big guy run that fast looking for water.
