Does anyone have goods ways to stop these during winter months when you're away from your cabin? My cabin will be totally off the grid. I will have propane and possibly solar for 12v items.

I'm with Gary. Also, ventilation will keep inside and outside temps closer to the same, you get moisture when you get temp differences also. This means no heat on, some ventilation going on too. Moving air, warm or cold keeps the moisture at bay.
