I am on a slight slope, and I really don't like how those post holders just sit in deck blocks.

Curious if this possible...

Using those adjustable pylex post holders from HD (there is an adjustable one for width).

Screw the base into a 6x6, then pre drilling another 6x6 drop it over the base and sandwich it in there.

Now you have a skid you can level that isn't sitting wobbly in deck blocks.

Or just put it through one, and screw it up from the bottom.

I don't think I have ever heard of a problem with the post holders not staying put in the deck blocks but if it's something that worries you have you considered placing the the holder in the deck block and covering it in a couple inches of the quick dry cement? One tub will only set you back 20$ and should have enough to cover all the block. Just a thought i'm sure skids would work just fine.
