Can anybody recommend a good transfer switch (either modified or full sine wave) for my solar system. I want to draw up to about 1250 (maybe 1500) watts for a very short period of time but most of the time will be running about 300 watts. I need it to be at least 90% efficient.

Do you mean inverter? I have a Samlex 1500W pure sine wave inverter. I installed it last year and am happy with it. It was $630.00
when I bought it.
