Here's what's going on. I'm building a small bunkie to use until/while I build the larger cabin. Then the kids or visitors can stay in it. I'm building it at my house then will haul it to the mountain. It's an 8X12. I'll post pictures of the progress.

All dried in. Ready for roof metal, windows, door, and vinyl siding. I plan to do a burgundy roof and dark brown siding.

Thanks Loon!!! This design was a serious pain to pull off but I'm happy with the results.

Thanks guys. This lil hut will be fun. I'll use it for a while, then build a "bigger" cabin in a year or two. It feels like a small box compared to my cabin at the bay. That one has a bedroom nearly as big as this entire cabin.

It's all about having a place to hang yer hat while in the wild.

It was almost 65 degrees today. Nothing like a warm winter day.

Looks great snuggled in there... I'd say WOOT WOOT Time to crack open the Pop to Celebrate ! Glad the weather was cooperative - a sign of meant to be I suppose. You mention Woodshed but I missed seeing a woodstove in the tiny cabin, might be tricky unless you have a Mini or something.

Good eye. There isn't a wood stove. It's to small for that. We wouldn't be able to take it. The "woodshed" will store our campfire wood. We always burn a campfire. It will also house the toilet facility as well as an atv. In all reality, it will just be a shed.

There's something manly about calling it a woodshed instead of just a shed. Maybe I'm off my rocker?

As long as the Hickory Switch is hangin on the wall, call it "The Woodshed" and let the kids KNOW.... But you know, that sounds like it's a 1/2 step to becoming a Man Cave... Roh Oh !

Men also keep moonshine in the woodshed. It's kind of a thing to stop at yer buds and hang out at the woodshed.
