We originally designed a nautilus-shaped camp ( in our dreams) but reality reared its hydra-heads. We wound up buying a 13x44 Amish garden-shed shell(including 6'porch) with 2x6 construction. We're doing everything else. 4' foundation, windows, insulation etc. We collect rain water from the gutters and built an outhouse that doubles as a nest for something bigger than me.
The "freezer" works.. and doubles as a base for our table, made with left-over insulation and lumber. Inside a dollar store plastic container that holds ice, beer and left-overs. Even milk. Progress!

It's under 500 sq', but it does seem larger when you're working on it. The walls and insulation will fill it in.
Nice looking at everybody's designs.

Be my guest!
One more photo- someone gave us 6 French doors and I'm refurbishing one for the "bathroom" if we can find a composting toilet that's inexpensive and works during very cold winters. So far an outhouse, which is fine with me.
My husband is holding up the door.
It's great working on a tedious project when it's pouring rain!
Underneath the loft there's @ a 4'drop into the foundation level for tools and storage.
