I love the sight of fresh gravel on a wet roadway- it looks like- victory!

Hey, Scott sorry for such long delay on reply. Mrs and I was on on 2 week drive trip. It was great what a needed getaway for the wife! But your right this is simmer of what I was thinking about. I have Prosthics leg so steps and latters are a real problem for me. There are amish in the area where I am looking for property to buy. the local amish do have cabins for sale but I think the ceilings 5/12 roofs are to low.i would think a 8/12 or 9/12 pitch rood would be better. What's your roof pitch, any help through this project would be greats. Thanks Dan

Really nice cabin you have there. Would you mind sharing who your builder was?

Thanks
Fitz

I know who built his sign.

Deercula, thread bumped, very nice finish product. The metal siding isn't the typical metal siding color, so its not unsightly at all, looks very nice. Makes it very fire resistant too.

Burkholder Storage Barns , an Amish guy out of Sherman, Ny.

It's 9 months old and have had zero issues with it.

Tongue & Groove shrinkage?

My cabin is now a year old. I've noticed that the tongue and groove knotty pine on the interior walls is shrinking. Some of the fasteners in the tongue are now visible. You need to look close to see them because they blend in with all the knots. The shrinkage is not showing at all in the length. The butt joints are still tight. The tongues are about 1/4 inch and are still inside the grooves. Seem to have shrunk about 1/8 th. inch. Questions: How long will the pine continue to shrink? Would another coat of polycrylic help?
