It's a late Spring in Maine this year. The mosquitos and black flies are really bad. So, I screened in our porch. Porch_1.jpg

That looks great! you will be so much more comfortable enjoying nature (without being bit!). Your work looks really good and like it was always meant to be screened-in! Are you doing stairs tied into the porch and with footers or standalone?

How did you seal up your floor or was it a plywood floor to start with, or deck boards a bit apart. We have a screened porch at our camp . Was origionaly a deck , the skeeters come up through. It has stopped the black flies and deer flies. Nice looking porch, good spot to sit and tell lies. old 243

Hi old243,
We used plywood for that very reason. We picture framed the perimeter with 5/4 decking and then 3/4 plywood for the floor. Here's a pic. It is a little hard to see.
