I have been refilling my 1lb. Coleman bottles from a 20lb. tank using an adapter I got from HF. Works fine, although they don't see to refill as much as a new bottle.

I gave anther adapter to a friend, he says he pulls the little safety valve outward on the Coleman bottles with pliers when refilling to let gas out and more liquid propane in. I read online that this may or may not be a safe practice.

Whaddya think?
