Has anyone ever tried eating frog legs? The Leopard frogs here in Minnesota aren't that big, but they must be eatable. I'm thinking of maybe smoking some. Comments / recipes?

I had them once, very good. Tastes a little fishy, with the texture/consistency of flounder.

Fried Frog Legs
Beat the yolk of an egg with a cup of milk.

Add flour enough to make a smooth batter.

Dip frog legs into the batter. Frog legs should have been marinated in oil and vinegar.

Deep fry.

Yep, they're great.

Taste like a mix between chicken and fish... The first time I tried them I was a kid in a summer camp, we gathered few frogs and baked the legs on fire. It was great : ).

If you like either chicken or fish you'll enjoy it.
