I don't tap any more, but help my neighbour, He got a wood fired boiler, last year. Not to high capacity. But fun anyway. He mentioned the other day , that he was going to get it ready. Probably had 30 taps. There can certainly be a lot of visiting , going on , around a boiling pot. Catch up on all the local gossip. Probably , will be a couple of weeks yet, before we get at it. still have lots of snow. old243

Snow all but gone here. I collected 50 gallons of sap last night , a good start for February. The sap is still running today but no bush today 50 mph winds here too dangerous.
