In light of the State of Emergency issued in Lake County IL(Chicago and Gary IN) and the foot of snow in Indianapolis I thought we could use a few photos of a nice tropical place. Where the days are balmy and t shirts, shorts and flip flops are everyday attire.

While you folks east of the Rockies are getting dumped on, here in California we have had sunshine and record warm temperatures for the last few weeks. I just returned from a 9 day trip at my property working on prep for my cabin build.

We have record low rainfall and we could be headed for a severe drought and a bad fire season. Time will tell

Here is a nice place DH and I camped on our honeymoon. In the last photo,to the left of the shot is a dry cave. Many people set up camp in the cave. This hike was difficult yet resulted in some of the most beautiful scenery.

Awesome photo Owen!
Bldinsp- wow! The low rainfall is concerning. Besides the snow we've gotten here in missouri it's been very dry as well. Not good. The Missouri River is the lowest I've ever seen it. Apart from that it's been consistently VERY cold here. No fun, bring on spring!

Seeing all these beautiful pics of warm places is about to make me cry as I long for warm sunshine. I must however, refrain as it is so cold I'd have icicles hanging from my face, lol. Everyone stay warm.
