That would work if you are line of sight to a relatively nearby tower. You can outdoor mount a better set of "rabbit ears" and pick up somewhat more distant stations, again line of sight. If there is an obstruction between you and the tower you are probably out of luck. In our case there are mountains between us and a line of sight signal from any stations. A friend lives nearby overlooking the NC piedmont, they "see" multiple stations and have free TV.

I have a digital TV antenna hidden in my attic pointing to a mountain top about 6 miles as a crow flies. I get perfect clear digital TV for free. Its not a lot of channels, maybe 12 and loaded with commercials. But its nice gettign up, eating breakfast and watching local news etc.

I have a flat screen LED TV with a built in DVD player and a huge library of western style movies.

Here is a picture of the morning news. The clown seen on the TV was an APB, this punk just got into an argument with his father and killed him with a hunting rifle and was on the loose. I wasnt concerned, I pack heat at all times.

If it is digital it is either clear or it does not come in. We have one channel that disappears at the cabin when the weather between us and the tower gets stormy.

We have unlimited internet at the cabin (mostly for the cameras we get to watch when we are stuck in the 'civilized world'...heh). We use a Chromecast and our phones and streak anything we want to the TV.

Rarely gets used for anything except movies for the kids... checking the cameras at the deer stands, or, later in the evening after dinner, queuing up all sorta of music from youtube to the amusement of everyone.

I generally queue up Ray Price and someone else will throw in ZZ Top every so often :P

Advert says, "Enjoy watching thousands of channels with your family in vivid HD & digital signals."

Then states: "Watch 100s of FREE HD & Digital TV Channels"

It actually reminds me of the antenna that connected to your electrical circuits and used your whole home as an antenna.

Personally I would stick with rabbit ears or something on the roof.

Seriously doubt there are 100s of free OTA channels up in this neck of the woods. Let's see, 6, 7, 11, 16. Did I miss any?

I use Kodi at home on my Raspberry Pi, which is hooked up to an FM transmitter, which powers "Radio Dave" around my neighbourhood, which is controlled by Yatse from my Android phone.

If you're ever within a km of my house, just tune into 87.9 and you will hear some awesome tunes.

Yah, I'm a geek at home, but make lots of sawdust at the cabin!
