So I've been working on my DC Generator trying to increase its versatility. I had a customer that wanted to use my kit for charging different types of batteries with some better voltage control.
I am testing a Sterling Power alternator voltage regulator that is good for different types of sealed lead acid and AGM batteries.
On top of this I'm building out some power equipment using Ridgid tool boxes. My stuff is being built for portability and is modular. I have an auto switching inverter mounted in one box so I can use it as a power backup with ATS capability which is seen in the video.
I'm building a second box which will have a small battery, radio with weather channels, speakers, LED lights, USB plugs, cigarette lighter, etc.
I made a short video of the Affordable DC Generator running the inverter with a heat load plugged into it. I was testing the voltage regulator. Trying to keep it inexpensive since the kit fully assembled is less then $600 and the Sterling Power regulator is $180 and pretty easy to install. Not bad so far.

I like this guy's innovation. DCG, this forum doesn't like vendors posting stuff. They view it as Spam because it is mostly an attempt to sell junk or some kind of rip-off. I don't understand why they tolerate Rockies spamming the forum with "awnings" and crap. Maybe we should have a section for vendors. Then we could vote on it - keep or delete. DCG, I would like to see a comparison with Honda generators on you web site.

Hey Dave
I'm working on a lot of stuff like that right now. I have the basic kit out right now. Currently I'm trying to get the advanced voltage regulator worked out so it is a streamlined install. I want to do a video of how to teardown an AC Delco 10 or 12si alternator and add the wire in order to get external regulation. I like good instructions 
I also want to get some of my other projects done first. I want to get my portable power box and inverter done first so I can insert the DC Generator into the mix and demonstrate its operation better.
Trying to split my time between a full time job running a generator repair company, build an investment property company, and help my girlfriend start a line painting company. I'd also like to finish up my 8.1 84' Suburban project at some point. I just need another 2 or 3 of me!
