My F250 has turned into the ultimate Expedition/Tow/Camping/Recovery/Utility/Bro Rig ever
one thing i think im lacking in is maybe a solar panel setup and a fridge
the questions i have is, what panels should i run? what fridges should i be looking at?
should i power it up off a 12v or use a power invertor to make it run off 120v?
should i get a fancy cooler or could i just run a mini fridge off an invertor or would that suck up too much power?
could i make a setup where i have a 3rd battery (Yellow top) in the bed (its a diesel so its already got 2 red tops up front)
and have all the accessories run off the yellow top and leave just the 2 reds for the truck?
is there a way i can setup it so the solar panel can charge all the batteries?
can it be setup so my accessories only pull power from my yellow top
so what if my accessories kill drain the battery completely i wont be worried about my truck not starting?
yet be bale to have my truck or solar panel charge the yellow top?

The conversion van folks have done all kinds of stuff like that and while your not a van the ideas are the same. I would go search on https://www.fordtransitusaforum.com
There is also a sprinter forum.
I keep my house batteries completely separate from my van with the exception of one way charging from the alternator once the van batteries are charged but others have done more what you’re looking for and there are a ton of fridge threads. I went with a 12 volt truck fridge and am very happy with it

I'd be interested in what people come up with for RV fridges. Given the shaking around factor. I'd want to go 120v. But this might be a good case for 12/24 dc.
Recently helped a fellow build an amazing RV system. He used 9 300w panels. 8 48v at 47ah each (yup. over 200ah at 48v) batteries.
He charges a 12v lead pack used for specialty items with a solar controller. Taking the power from the 48v batteries as "solar" and putting it into the 12v pack.
Using solar for RV is great. I did it back in the day. With 2 250w panels and two 6v batteries. Really cuts down on genny time when boondocking. Nice that lithium batteries are available now. Those lead acids didn't last long once fall arrived.

How long does the truck sit between running the engine? If it is typically only a night or two I'd skip the solar and just set it up to charge the house battery (what you are calling the yellow top) off the truck's alternator.

Have seen a lot of guys using these

along with their solar but also running off the 12v power from their truck/van
