Took a long weekend and got this lean to built. Still need to do the battens and the doors but I was happy with what we got accomplished in three days.

Looks good...I'm looking to do something similar on the back of my barn and I was wondering if I could pull it off in a long weekend.

It is 12x24. I set the posts a month or so ago and got all the material on site. Then it was me and a buddy doing the bulk of it and my sister helped on and off handing us stuff, cutting insulation, and screwing in boards after we tacked them in place.

Spent a few days ant the cabin to work on the utility closet. Also added a curb stop valve to the well line to prevent the high static level in the well from pushing water up the pipe to the area where the pipe is not buried below the frost line.

How are those curb stops to install? I thought about putting one in our water system in the future.

Thanks! I was on the fence about getting the backhoe because I have a mini excavator for work but having the hoe on-site when ever I need it breast towing the mini 4.5 hours.

If you have a poly lateral pipe the hardest part will be digging the hole. Just be sure to dig the hole big enough so you have at least 2â€™ of pipe exposed. Then itâ€™s just a matter of cutting the pipe and installing the valve with poly insert adapters. I built my own box and rod out of 3â€ pvc and 1/2â€ copper pipe to actuate the valve from the surface. Normally there would be a cast iron box and steel rod that would be at grade and would require a curb key to actuate. I did want to have to use a key and with potential snow cover I wanted to be able to access without much effort.
