I need to make some doors for my shed and I am not sure of the best method. I was thinking of two possible approaches, one with T&G center and pine/cedar frame both sides or plywood center with pine/cedar frame both sides. I was concerned about warping with the plywood. Any suggestions?

I built a slider for my woodshed... went with plywood. Mine is a 32" opening with a 36" wide door. I used 1/2" cdx as cut to size then 1" x 4" frame of fir surrounding the door, then a diagonal 1" x 4" corner to corner inside the frame.... diagonals are opposite front to back. It's only been up about 3 months but so far no warpage... the plywood was a bit warped before I framed it but straightened out.

I see this picture is just before I took it back off and put side pieces on the back side. By framing it both sides then adding trim around the door it fits tight enough we've kept the rodents out.... so far.

Edit... T & G would be good too... that said we have two interior doors made with Aspen, t&g core and framed, they are both warped....

I recently built new garage doors to replace the old roll up doors using T1-11 siding and 2x4s on the back. Mine are hinged, not sliding. They were up bare for a year before I stained them a couple of weeks ago, no warpage.

Now to hang them. I think the hardware will cost more than the wood.
