So i have my grandfathers old Montgomery Wards 8hp snowblower. It's been sitting for years but i'm certain i can get it running. I would guess it's around 25-30yrs old.
I own a Polaris Magnum 425 with a grill mounted winch.
Since i don't have a need for the snowblower at home and it's been sitting for so long, i'd hate to just toss it. So i was pondering the idea of removing the handles and fabbing some brackets to hang it off the front of the wheel to blow snow at my new land.
Anyone personally attacked a project like this?

That much weight that far out in front of that small of a quad your setting your self up to either steer with the blower in the air or blow with the blower down.

If it's that old, I bet someone would pay you for it as a collectible...
I sold a 30 year old Ariens with a seized motor for $100 last year on CL

Yeah, i think i killed the idea just a few minutes ago when i realized the blower width is narrower than the wheeler

Just fab some wings on the front of the blower that makes up the width of your wheeler and directs the snow into the blower.

Shoving more snow in the shoot dosnt mean it's going to work close to as good as it once did. Most of these barely have enough HP to blow snow even in 2nd gear.

@BrettNY...sadly this blower blows better than my newish 10HP Ariens.
I've got 11 days off for the holidays so i might just try out the new welder and see what i can make of this idea. TBD.
