Here’s just one of a few of my finds:

My kid’s school put a bunch of old tables in a dumpster. I noticed that they were all doubled 3/4 plywood tops under the laminate. Asked if I could take them and pulled as many as i could out. Used them up in an old shed at the lake.

Must be old propane appliance giveaway week. My neighbor at the cabin gave me 3 old patio heaters. Two are the regular tall cheapos but this one is interesting, I am going to try and get it working.

Then, got back to the city house and my neighbor there offers me this propane fire pit thingy, says it needs a new hose. Looks like it might be a nice addition to the deck.

I filled all my tanks before winter, I think it was about 4 bucks. About to be on for a rude awakening I fear. Exchange tanks were 20.

I went to the local brush dump and there was a big pile of used landscape timbers. Grabbed a bunch of them just because they were free.
I stacked them up. Then figure I would stack them creatively. Ended up making a fence row.

Stopped at a yard sale today. Got a Wagner Paint crew sprayer. It's got a 2 gallon reservoir, 35 foot hose and was used 3 times. Plugged it in and ran some water through it. Seemed to work fine. Got it for $10 bucks. Looked it up on Amazon. $224 bucks.

You're on a roll! Those front tillers are hard work. Paint sprayer is the score. My pal just got a quote to paint his two story house, $26K!

Was talking with my daughter today. She just bought a house last year. It has a backyard pool and deck and wanted to get rid of a shed with a bunch of old tools on it/in it. She says it's a bit of an eye sore and wants to get rid of it to have space for a swing set. So I am going to get the shed and tools for nothing as long as I move it.
My wife was telling me last week she wanted a little garden shed.....Bingo.
I am more excited about getting those "Old Tools" than the shed really. Lol

Great deal on the tiller and gas can!!!

Careful on gas cans in the future though. People are increasingly switching over to electric lawnmowers so I expect the plastic gas cans will soon be flooding the market.

I converted a set of wood bifold doors into shelving. Nothing special really. It's only going to be used for storage.
But in hindsight, I probably could have made it into a shallow entertainment center, if I put some glass across the shelves to compensate for the panels, and sized the shelf space as needed.

Here's part of what I ran across today.
So far I got 17 Nerf guns that sell on Amazon for $26.99. I got at least 40 search a word puzzle books and soduko, crossword etc that have a price tag on them. $6.99 each. They we're all brand new in the original box. Never opened. A Fischer Price game for a young child. A couple little shelf racks. And a box of 9 x 13 aluminum pans with lids. Also unopened box. Plus a few other things.
There are still at least 10 more Nerf guns. But I have to repair my dumpster gaff hook before I go back and get them. Lol
I have figured out that there is a pattern as when to check the dumpster. They can't seem to get good workers at the $ general. A couple times a month they can't even open the store.
Last few times this happened. I check the dumpster about an hour after they open. I think the employees just take the new stock and toss it, then say they restocked it. I got 8 bottles of pine sol. About $50 bucks worth of still frozen deli meats, and they put a whole case of triple meat tombstone pizzas right on the dumpster. Still frozen too.

I wanted to make another post even though there might not be much interest.
I made a couple more trips and salvaged more toys and books. Literally hundreds of dollars of things wasted for no reason, heading for a land fill.
Anyhoos, we made arrangements with local churches that have Christmas give aways for needy children. And are donating the toys. Only keeping a few with damaged boxes for the grand kids. So now at least 25 kids might have a little bit merrier Christmas.
Donated boxes of the puzzle books to the nursing home my father was in his last days.
My wife gets her hair cut from our friend who is the activities director at the home. Today,
She gave my wife a hug and told her that the people in the home we're overjoyed with the books.
Then she told my wife there is a man there, that asked if he could have another puzzle book. Our friend asked him if he was finished with the first one. The man told her yes. Then showed her the book and explained. He was never able to get an education. He is illiterate. He can only read or write his name. So he went through every page, and circled the letters in his name. He was very proud. He'd not done anything like that before.
Our friend gave him another puzzle book.
Soooo. Trash or Treasure?
