Is using vapor barrier on insulated cabin floor better than using adhesive when putting down subfloor?

Vapor barrier and subfloor adhesive, hmmm.
There needs to be a vapor barrier on the warm side before the insulation if insulated, this applies to floor, walls and ceiling/roof.
Is what you are really getting at is how do you make subfloor to joist adhesive work if you put a vapor barrier over the joists?
This is not a case where one is better than another, they are two different things for two different purposes.

You only need vapor barrier if your useing batt insulation. Use foam and you dont need a vapor barrier and the mice wont have a field day in it.

In my area, we use a black vapor barrier over the soil/ground and on the underside of the floor, a breathable barrier such as tyvek etc.

@toyota_mdt_tech, the vapor barrier you put over the soil/ground, do you put gravel on top? if so, how much, just enough to hide the plastic?
I was thinking of doing just that to prevent moisture from rising under the cabin, but i've already place a layer of gravel down and didn't really want to have to dig it out, my plan was just to add enough gravel on top of the plastic to hide/hold it in place
