What do the local builders recommend? Also, will you just leave the joists open? If there are porcupines in the area they may do some chewing if they can get at it. They LOVE the glue in standard plywood. At our camp in ON they have chewed plywood on a shed, row boat transom, and the toilet seat in the outhouse after a hunter must have come through and got some relief but never latched the door.

I have not asked about that and I will need to do it. Yes I have porcupines in the area and I didn't know that either. I have noticed on the cabin's that are off the ground that it does't look like treatd wood. I was planning on using it put have went back to pictures of cabins and looks like just plywood. The cost would be a big differance. Thanks for the help.

Floor joists only have to be PT (by most building codes) if the lower edge of the joist is less than 18" from the ground. Beams; lower edge closer than 12".
If the cabin floor is 2 to 3 feet above grade no need for PT plywood for the floor. Lots of need for superb pier bracing though.

I would use it and then put pine tung & groove over it or paint the plywood floor. But do NOT get the plywood from a Big Box store; get the best grade possible from a local family-owned store ...maybe marine grade.
