I have a pole barn at the cabin, were thinking of building a bunk house in a corner. What can I use to block or seal off the ribs, i can see daylight at the bottom so I want to mouse proof the top and bottom before i insulate, I know they make foam pieces that go in there but it seems mice can chew thru that. Thanks...

Is this the typical galvanized corrugated stuff? I know they make wood cut to the same profile. Not sure if you are using that or the metal siding like they use on roofs?

OK, might be tough, maybe stuff some metal in there just as the 1/8" fabric cloth, then put in some non expanding foam. If the metal is exposed on the inside, its going to sweat, this may plug up the waters exit.

My plan was to take a 2x2 and cut each side at an angle to match the rib and slice 2 inch pieces and put them in the ribs but im looking for a better idea..

I guess it depends on how far you plan to build it out. If its not going to be insulated, you could just staple hardware cloth over the opening to keep mice out. If you plan to insulate, I would box it out and use hardi-plank sofit boards.

Great idea, thats what I'd do, staple to lower wall plate. Just bend or shape it to fit the profile of the metal siding. Use air crown stapler, make this task go super fast.

Still able to breathe and allow water to run out of it did sweat
