We recently bought a unique propane fridge for our cabin (just the small one) and it runs like a dream. I want to install it in our kitchen, but can't seem to find a vent kit for it, and hardware stores don't sell the 1.5 inch venting. Ive researched and tried to find another solution- waiting to hear back from Unique.
We have a co2 detector but I would feel better with it correctly vented! Was thinking of reaching out to the gas installation company next....
Thanks for any insight.

I couldn't find much online besides this info post from Unique. It appears to be a similar installation to a high efficiency water heater or something similar.
Is the exhaust coming off of the fridge actually have much heat to it? Looking at their photo for reference it appears you may be able to use PVC or CPVC.
If that were the case I'd probably explore a concentric exhaust to limit the number of penetrations and aesthetics, provided it is allowable for the appliance.

Unique offters an actual direct vent kit for some of there models. But they must be Direct vent models, and you just order the DV Kit for it.

I bought the Unique outside vent model fridge back in 2004. We use it mid-May to end of September. It struggles to keep things real cold in hot weather but over-all it's been good. I would talk directly with the distributor for Unique, not the seller. The vent kit is pretty simple so would be surprised if you can't adapt the parts. Make sure you communicate the fridge model you have. They should be able to tell you if you can do it. Mine is on an outside wall. It draws combustion air from outside and expels the exhaust outside. My neighbour bought the CO model and has a lot of trouble with it. If you vent the fridge indoors you are not only getting CO inside but also adding a lot of heat which is a problem if you live in a warm summer climate. He chose the CO model because he didn't have an outside wall location for an outside vent. We've been using ours for 18 seasons so far.

One thing I forgot about. As I said, ours is the direct vent model. It has a sealed burner box that has 12 screws and a stainless steel cover plate with gasket. I'm not sure if all their fridges have that or just the direct vent model. Question for the Unique people.
