I joined this group years ago planning for our cabin. Luved the content. Then during the build was too busy to post and kept waiting for it to be done before posting. LOL. Now I thought to throw some pics up. I hope the uploading worked.

My wife and I are in the design and construction industry (write emails and attend meetings). I'm handy and stubborn; not a professional with tools. We pass our time and have fun agonizing over design details and I like getting out of Toronto & tinkering.

Ya, sorry about that. I wanted to do that during the slow build it was too hectic building, working and raising young ones. I took pics of everything. I'll try to post some of the interesting stuff.

Very nice build and location! Do you have running water?

Nice place. That first picture is amazing 👏.

The locker idea is interesting, may I ask what you store in them.

So sorry Alaskajohn and Snobdds, I only now saw your queries.
Re Water: I do have running water to just our kitchen sink. I use the genny to power a pump in the lake. It pushes water up to 2 barrels in my sea can. Then I have a 12v pump powered by the batteries, to pump to my faucet. Its been working well for 5 years. All piping is sloped to a pit in the crawlspace so easy to drain for cold weather.

Re Lockers; they were dismantled and rebuilt with plywood gables and adjustable plywood shelves. 1 locker for plates, cups, glasses. 1 for food. 1 for sunscreen, bug juice, first aid, toiletries, etc. 1 for broom and cleaning supplies. Super handy!

Very nice. As much as I love summer it’s hard to beat the beauty of winter surrounded by pine trees
Thanks for sharing
