Over the summer, I was mowing an area and noticed what I thought was a collection of white, silica pebbles.
I got off of the mower and picked one up before noticing the eastern pine fence lizard in the hole near them. It was the mother and they were her eggs. It was a first for me to see this. She had put them out to warm in the sun. I was thrilled with the experience.

Anyone know what this is?

Looks like a horned lizard. I used to play with them in my backyard when I was a boy.

I have seen a "Six Lined Racerunner" lizard at my place, but he is much too fast for me to get a picture of him. He lives up to his name.
