Hello all, wanted to say thank you to all. Certainly lots of differences on construction. But were all together on family.
Sharing stories about our cabin time is really nice.
Our differences is our strength.

May the Good Lord bless you and yours throughout the years

Happy Holidays, for whichever one you celebrate this time of year. There are at least 14 religious celebrations in December alone.

Merry Christmas to all my fellow cabineers. Paulz, do I see an old coin phone hanging on the wall?

Lol, yes, sort of.. We go to the local Sunday flea market fairly often. So I see this phone sitting there, the guys says $20. Hmm, pretty neat I'm thinking. I pick it up, get a better look, it has push buttons instead of a rotary dial. A repro. He says OK $10. Then I look at the back, made in China sticker! I gave him 5 and hung it up at the cabin. Never really thought about how you don't see them around anymore but everyone who comes over gets a kick out of it. You have to be looking for it to know it's fake. Might work, it has a line jack, never tried.

Get any good cabin stuff under the tree? I got long underwear, a new wallet and a cheese slicer.

I got a sorta 2 part gift. A few weeks back we were in a Buckheit store, and when I walked past a Stihl chainsaw display......SCHWENG. Although I've lost count of how many chainsaws I have, I bought myself a 170 because I don't have one, and the wife said, Well Christmas is coming up. 😁
The second part of the present is...she bought me a flannel shirt, to go with the chainsaw I bought myself. 👍

Total surprise....my wife got me the top of the line Makita jigsaw to go with my many other 18v Makita tools. The one I had my eye on, as I have a Bosch corded jigsaw, I think the finest jigsaw out there, so the cheaper models of the Makita jigsaws just wouldn't compare. But of course I've been too cheap to buy the cordless when I already had a fine saw!

Happy cabin'er!

We have an old telephone booth in excellent condition including the phone. My beautiful wife spotted it one day while we were out goofing around. And said " cool phone booth, I wish I had it". And now she has it.
I got a new game camera that sends live pictures over to a phone frommy family. Guess they think I should have a phone too. I got a game camera a few years back primo I think. I haven't figured out how to use it yet.
Our grandson got a suzuki Z90, 4 wheeler. I should be having a blast riding with him. He has his snogo too so this papa will have lot's of fun getting out.
I consider that my gift also take one make one

Had some of the grandkids and family drop by today. They got the old man another guitar to add to my collection. It's an Ibinez acoustic electric. Plays easy, sounds great. I finally got to play it after a few hours of enjoying them ripping up and down the road and trails on their new mini bike and electric 4 wheeler for the little one.
They did talk me into riding the mini bike. So I flew past the neighbors and remembered how hard it is to ride a mini bike at full speed, and taking my hand off the bars to wave. The neighbors texted me, " Nice bike" and the family was happy to hear the sound of the motor in the distance, and not the sirens of an ambulance 🚑. Lol

My wife and I don’t really exchange gifts other than stocking stuffers. Christmas is pretty much focused on our kids but this year she got me something special. She had my favorite photo of the cabin and land blown up on a canvas. I love it.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Spent yesterday putting a clear roof on the mini-cabin, the wife had her mind set on it. Definitely looks pretty cool...

Another capture of the illusive RM80 last week. It's really amazing how fast it goes, even with a big hairy bear on it. On the boil it goes through all 5 gears as fast as can be shifted. That's probably only 25mph but fast enough in the mud. Don't know how I haven't gotten hurt on it, yet..
