Heard on the news that there was a "fireball" spotted in the sky locally here in WI yesterday (1/20/2022) so i checked our Nest cam at home and sure enough, caught it on camera!

Look closely just above the roofline of the house across the street in the middle of the screen.

Very cool. I actually witnessed one November 2020 at home in RI. Had no idea what it was so I started researching and found this site.

There was one early on last year I caught on a security camera in the middle of nowhere. I got a motion alert, when I checked the footage the only thing I saw was a huge flash of light and shadows of trees.

Under the night vision it looked like a crazy bright light source moving very fast through the woods just above the treetops (in the middle of nowhere) but behind where the camera could see. Like imagine if someone was standing behind you with a spotlight moving very fast from left to right - that's all I could see. Now imagine everything behind you...well there's nothing but miles of thick woods there.

Until I heard about the fireball the next day the only thing I could think of was it was a UFO LOL.

That meteor site is pretty cool, after a while they can figure out exactly where it came from and you can see all the reports. It's wild to see how far away people are seeing the same exact event from so far away from each other.

Will, I was hesitant to open this thread, was afraid your stove had blown up and the cabin was gone!
