Hey guys. I'm looking to put a dehumidifier in my crawl space this spring. Don't want to have to empty it manually. Do they make one that pumps outside automatically or do I need to put in a sump pump too? What brands/models do you recommend? 700 square foot crawl space. 4 feet high.

Thanks!

How about digging a drain hole, maybe drop in and backfill a pvc pipe, and have it just drain down and soak in?

I want to get it away from the house. The water table is high, which is part of my moisture problem. Even with a vapor barrier, I can't keep anything down there in the warmer months.

I don't know any that have built in pumps. There are quite a few that you can remove the tank and instead attach a garden hose. But you need somewhere to drain it too.

You can get what's known as a condensate pump and set it up that way, or there ARE some with pumps. I have a GE branded model, about $300 from HD that pumps when the tank is full. Been working great.

Mine in the house has a hose fitting on the tank, think that is common.

Yes, there are quite a few with pumps. We bought a fifth wheel and it came with one.

I recently purchased this one but without the pump.

Thanks. I was looking at Honeywell 50-Pint 2-Speed Dehumidifier with Built-In Pump ENERGY STAR. But the ratings are terrible for the pump feature.

I want gravity dumping, no pump to fail.

I went with this Ivation 4,500 Sq Ft Smart Wi-Fi Energy Star Dehumidifier with App, Continuous Drain Hose Connector, Programmable Humidity, 2.25 Gal Reservoir for Medium and Large Rooms (4,500 Sq Ft). I put it on cinder blocks and popped a hole in the foundation wall to drain outside. Went with gravity drain based on the advice of most folks on here.

We'll see how it goes.

Thanks for all the help!
