I painted the exterior window trim of our log house with a clear water sealer. Can I paint on top of this????I'd like to paint them a burgundy color....is this possible? Thanks!

I'm not a paint expert, but I would think it would depend on the type of paint you used and possibly surface preparation. My thought is that if you purchased a good (alkyd-base?) paint, and maybe strip or sand the trim just enough to rough-up the finish (better paint adherence), it would work fine. Do they have specialized paint stores in Russia, like they do here in the U.S.? What paint to use over the sealer would be a good question to ask to a professional paint dealer.

Partly depends on the type of water sealer. Some have wax in them, not good for painting.

I think there are some points you will have to consider: First do the surface preparation with sandpaper 2.) Have a look at the product you're using up to which temperature you might use the color. 3.) To avoid the risk of fissures you shouldn't paint the surface at cool temperatures. I hope this was useful for you!
