Owen. The fishing tug is called the Fishy Cradle. We are on the north side of Manitoulin Island.

I've had three Lake Superior Boats in the last forty years, none that could make it that far. I stayed from Duluth to Isle Royle mostly. Is the boat yours?

Nope..Boat is owned by a commerical fisherman by the name of Murray Hore. He is contracted with Purvis Fisheries on the island.

Here's a few taken at home. The squirrels have eaten all of the deer antlers we brought home from NY except this one, and it won't last too much longer. The Pileated Woodpecker is the largest known woodpecker species in the USA. There was a larger species, but it hasn't been seen since the 1930s, so it may be extinct. The dead Southern Yellow Pine that the woodpecker is inspecting is 22 inches in diameter at the base, so that gives an indication of the size of that bird. He's a big one, for sure. I also have a long video of him going after the bugs that were hiding behind the bark.

I've been spending time feeding the stellers jays peanuts. One that I call "Sassy" (because he squawks at me when he sees me outside) is taking peanuts right from my hand now.
Another jay that comes to our feeder on the front porch, has only one foot. He has two legs, but his left foot is missing. He uses his left wing to help balance. He does very well and I always try to give him extra peanuts if I see him outside. He won't come to my hand, but he dives for the peanuts when I throw them to him.

we have these nests in the porch rafters often, normally just remove them, today needless to say I put it back. Glad I could provide a home

While mowing the grass in my backyard at home, I uncovered a rabbit nest. Luckily, I saw the nest before running the mower over the babies. The next day they were gone. I hope it was the mother who moved them as I covered the nest after taking the photos. Saw those turkeys at our camp several times during August. Each succeeding time I saw them the little ones looked bigger, just in time for Thanksgiving, provided the coyotes don't get them first!
