To clarify, a cabin domain website name with "porn" in it won't get as many 'cabin' looks as one might think. When a caveat is needed when recommending the site its probably a poor choice of a site name. Personally, I can't believe someone bought the name thinking it would be appropriate for cabin builders. Just an opinion, enjoy the pictures.

I looked at 3 pages, there are some very nice cabin pics. I bookmarked it, I'll be going back when I have more time.

Seems like an odd name, but there's all sorts of "porn" on the web. Food porn, gun porn, etc are all fairly common terms now. None have anything to do with the traditional use of of the word.

Don't look if that's ones choice, but at this point, I'd be surprised if I looked at something that was titled "porn" that had what most expect when they see the word.

Ran across a "weekend cabins" site: http://www.adventure-journal.com/weekend-cabin/

The floating cabin on Lake Powell looks familiar......

Some are actually cabins. Several are "full-size houses in a wooded environment", a newer definition of the word cabin. But anyway, more pics for the cabin-nut.

From the site: "Weekend Cabin isn't necessarily about the weekend, or cabins. It's about the longing for a sense of place, for shelter set in a landscape......"

great suggestion! An email telling me there's a new submission on freecabinp*rn is great.

I like this one too:

From cabinp*rn: "Handmade Houses by Art Boericke and Barry Shapiro is one of the most important books for serious students of cabins"

I followed cabinp*rn's link to Amazon and found that this book is a collectible, starting at $40 so I quickly ordered myself a christmas present.

Seriously though Very inspirational and definitely idea generating... There are some real innovative ideas and approaches. I'm particularly fond of seeing cabin's built with the local materials, rocks etc which make everything blend in naturally into the landscape & environment.

Take your time and enjoy, so much to see!

--- EDIT
Well, couldn't help myself and looked at all 137 pages and it's now almost 14:00. OOPS but well worth it.

I recall a quote from a famous architect that said "A building should not be a blight upon the land, it should improve the land."

I got as far as page 7 before realizing that the vast majority of these landscapes would be greatly improved with the addition of a match and a can of gasoline.
