Our cabin is right at 10,000 feet,and the peak above us is over 12,000 feet.

We're only at 1,500' , but that's high enough to be at the top of the Mississippi. The water runs clear when it leaves the Northland, soory it becomes the ''Big Muddy'' down stream. It sure is nice to be at the top of all runoff.

The cabin will be at about 2675; the north proeprty line at 2900.

We're still below tree line though ours are slow growing. It takes about another 1000 feet to get to tree line... somewhere above 10,000 feet.

last I looked mine was around 1050 feet. Near the divide where water runs north to Superior, or south to the St. Croix/Mississippi

I know that you know, but that Lake Superior ran out and down the St.Croix during the glacial period. Well I guess it was called Lake Duluth for that time period.

Your county may have information available through their Geographic Information System, the U.S. Geological Survey has information on their website, or you could retain a land surveyor to measure the elevation above mean sea level.
