turkeyhunter Long time no see!!! I haven't done that I believe you would have to use a dremal for that. I have a hard time with animals to carve for some reason. There is some very nice stuff carved on to horns.

I do some stained glass when I have time, There hasn't been much of that over the last 6 years running my business. I do plan on getting back into it some day soon as I shut down my lawn care business (lack of rain and snow puts a damper on grass growing) but working 9 to 11 hour days and still helping out some old clients has prevented me from doing much of any thing lately.

tsvoyager You do!!!! I have never done a face before I started july 20th 2012. You can believe me or not. I have messed around through the years and did a duck and small face on a stand where I hang my bow from. The carvings you see on here is all I have ever done. I just start and never know where it will go and then a creature starts to form. I use some home made tools and some knives. I know if I can do it anyone else can. It seems in life if you will yourself to do something you can do it. Get a peice of wood and make a creation. You can do it!!!

I probably have the will to do it but would first probably puncture my hand...causing severe blood loss thus putting an end to my "creative capabilities"!!!

One of these years I might just try it out Neb. Working long hours right now and many other projects in the way. I want to start my build next spring/summer, and all else has been put on the bacik burner for now. Carving has been in the back of my mind after watching my dad's friend work wood into beautiful geese and ducks, but I love the work you do with the faces and beards. Thanks for the encouragement.
