A friend gave me some used propane lights for my cabin. the copper tubing was cut from lights. What type and size of tubing should I get? is there a standard for propane lights? Also, can these types of light run off a 20lb tank? Next summer, i'm switching to a 100lb tank, but all i have out there now is a 20lb tank.

From all the stuff I have heard from the Amish...they use 3/8" copper tube and a standard tank-mounted regulator is all you need set to 11" of water column. This is what I was told when I asked the amish down the street form me last year....

You can buy copper gas pipe in a roll from Home Depot and a BBQ regulator at Home Depot is set to 11.

Just use double flare or ferrule type ends.

I have several propane lights inside my cabin. They are fed by 3/8" copper tubing with flared fittings. They run off a 100lb tank but will run off a 20lb tank easily. As mentioned above, a regulator is required.
