I have been surfing the internet for information on books for DIY solar panels.
Sofar, I have not yet find any publications detailing step by steps instructions which I can use to build my own panels. There are several utube videos on the subject, but I found information maybe there but is not well organized. Is there any one in this forum with knowlege in this subject to guide me. Is there any courses being offered on the subject.

I wouldn't bother with home made panels unless you only plan on using them once and awhile. It's almost impossible to water proof them correctly to leave outside long term like commercially made panels. Plus, the cost of panels has dropped to the point it doesn't really cost much more for a commercial panel.

Check solarblvd.com for some of the best panel prices I've ever seen. Sign up for their newsletter, I frequently get emailed deals for 220+ watt panels for less than 80 cents a watt.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my post.

Special thanks to reddly, I have checked out (as you suggested)the homesolarandwindinfo site and gathered valuable information, I also surf the GreenDIYenergy.com site. I am very interested into getting the step-by-step package they offert ($49.95). It look likes they have in there, everything I was looking for in print as well as videoes.
I will keep you updated.

if you go that route let me know how it worked out. I've never used either site for anything other than bookmarked information from my google searches trying to figure out how to life on grid life off the grid.

Not sure why you would want to DIY. By the time you price it out, you'll find that it's cheaper to buy new.

I still got to build my solar panel array here in western new york.I bought 2 of those 60 watt sun force systems from Amazon and they still sit out in the barn as well as the 400 watt wind generator, lol.I hope to get to them this summer.Even though we don't have to many sunny day's or steady windy day's here in my neck of the woods,it will be fun to try them out and see what happens.
