Here's one of my indoor projects this winter...DC water pump with 60 psi shut off and strainer. I've been using a PTO pump for watering my garden etc. but I can't shut it off once it starts and I hate running my tractor just to water the vegtables. I plan to use this with a powerwasher and portable water heater for a shower. Also to hose down the dog once in a while.

ClimberKev,

Thanks for doing all of my work for me! I want to know all of the specs on that pump and the feed to the pressure washer, I have a small electric pressure washer too and I would like to pump some lake water into it to clean my dock, building and boats. Are you pumping water from a tank or is it like mine where you have to provide suction to raise the water a few feet?

What size/make of pump is that? How did you balance it all out for flow rate etc? Thanks in advance!

Morgan,

I purchased the pump through Amazon...

Flojet 03526 144A Triplex Diaphragm 3526 Series Automatic Water System Pump.

The primary reason I chose this one was for the 60 psi shut off and the price...just $58. It runs incredibly quiet. I pull water up hill 2-4 feet from a spring through a regular garden hose with screen.

Thanks ClimberKev,

I have been thinking about doing this for months now and wondered which pump would do the trick. I was going to buy a Honda gas pump but that would have been too much power, your idea is so much better. What size pressure washer are you using? I think mine is aroiund 1.5 gpm, something like that. I hope that pump comes in 110v too!
