I was up in the Arrowhead of Minnesota snowmobiling in a big spruce swamp. I just stopped to look right on a old logging road and there he was not 30' away. He was not at all afraid and just stood there looking at me for a minute or so, then slowly walked away. He look to be in good condition. I see bobcats now and then , but not Lynx.

Nice... Did the Lynx see a shadow? No offence to snowmobiling, but I am ready for the snow to leave.

I had one run out in front of our car a couple of years ago. I could see his muscles flex as he did a quick 180 and ran back in the direction he came. They're pretty amazing creatures.
Up here in Canada they're just called Lynx, eh.

I got to take a good look at his tracks. We've been seeing what some think are mountain lion tracks, so it was good to make a comparison. I'd say, lynx tracks are nearly as big, but the stride is much shorter. Yep, we have some '' big'' kitty's too.
