I'm toying with the idea of installing a basic, simple indoor shower. I'm thinking about one of those round or oblong / elliptical steel tubs, a frame of sorts from which to hang shower curtains all the way around, and a Coleman solar shower bag hanging from the center of the frame.
But, I can't seem to find too many example on the internet of these types of self-made, self-contained indoor showers. Anybody here have pics or links they can post?

Install a shower stall, then just use the Coleman Instant Hot Water system. Done.

I bought a claw foot tub off kijiji for cheap and then made a shower curtain rod out of copper pipe that I soldered together and then painted with chrome spray paint so a pretty cheap set up that looks pretty good. You could make something similar for one of those tubs and hang your shower in the bag above it. We use an Eccotemp L10 hot water heater mounted outside. In the winter we cannot use the hot water system because of freezing temperatures so I screwed a hook into the ceiling above the shower and I hang a shower in the bag from it that is filled with water heated on the stove. It works perfect.

I have put together a 32"x32"shower stall kit from Value hardware for about $120.It's just 3 walls and a base platform.Nothing fancy.But worked just fine.You might want to check it out .Value is a local hardware store here in WNY.

It is pretty good. We used it for 3 showers last trip. About 2 gallons per shower. I boiled water, wife just set hers in the sun. Definitely feels nice being clean in the middle of a trip. ..Thanks.

I set up a shower stall a couple weeks ago, I used a $10 herbicide sprayer for water pressure in an outdoor shower but used a wash tub for baths in winter, the shower can be had on 1 gallon of water, or a bath at 6 gallons, since I have to collect rain water or melt snow, in the winter I can only store about 15 or 20 gallons so I have to conserve every drop.
what I did was build a small addition off the side of my cabin, 3' high off the ground, insulated but also insulated by the door between it and the cabin interior. I set up a regular shower stall and set up a simple drain that dumps into a plastic bushel basket/tub (summer use, grey water recycling). to take a shower I open the door an hour before I plan to shower and let the room heat up. then I put a gallon of water in the sprayer tank, hand pump to pressurize, shower. when I'm done I pour out any remaining water to wash suds out of the stall. I then close off the room to conserve heat in the cabin (no water pipes to freeze). works well for me

I've used a Coleman camper's on demand hot water heater for years now, with excellent results. It has a battery that runs it's pump to pump the water from a bucket, so you have to keep that battery charged. If you have piped water on site, you don't need the pump and Colman has a servo valve to contol water flow, reducing battery use. Doesn't use a heck of a lot of propane. Well made.

Last summer I went camping for a week, and one of the other campers rigged up a hot shower system in the woods.
He used a 100 gallon water tank with a 12vdc Sureflo pump hooked up to a car battery. The pump outlet was connected to an on-demand/ tankless propane water heater that ran off of a 40# propane tank. The outlet of the water heater went to a shower head that had a built-in shutoff valve. It was a very effective system. The only downside is that the water temperature was controlled by adjusting the water heater.

I'm rigging up an indoor shower at my Hunting camp. Picking up a Black Plastic Mixing tub at Home Cheapo. Putting up a shower curtain around it. Building a vent for my EcoTemp L5 on demand water heater. I have 3 of the Coleman 6 gallon water jugs that will fit under the sink beside the shower. The 5.5 gpm Sea-Flo 12v pump will be housed under the sink and draw water for the sink and hot water heater. The outlet of the hot water heater will feed the shower and sink. After taking a shower, the mixing tub can be emptied into a bucket for irrigation.

Do you have enough room for your feet? I love this idea, but my bf feels like there isn't enough room in the bottom of the shower since there is a slight taper.

Mine, tower is going away, 55 gallon drum will be moved to roof of shower, where it will also collect solar heat.
