I just got a used Quadra-fire 3000 off of Craigslist for $350 last month. I believe it will heat up to 1500 sq ft, more than enough. EPA certified. Very little smoke, only have to clean ashes once a week. I had to have a window to view fire. Couldn't be more pleased.

I found these listed on craigslist in Vancouver, Canada, although they are actually made in washington/oregon.
They are pricey, but it is just an incredible stove. I was looking for one for my log house but they are just a bit too small for that.
A few benefits I liked,
6" clearance
Uses Pellet stove piping
You can get an oven attachment, thermo electric generator attachment, and a water heater attachment
And I think it looks really nice:

Ya the distributor in canada said it would be a bit small for my house. They have a newer bigger one out that is awaiting CSA approval, it is high on my list for wood heating.
For a cabin it's tough to beat.

Quadrafire is made in Colville Washington. I know one of their engineers. Mfg is about 30 miles as a crow flies from my cabin. Great woodstoves. I bought a brand new Millennium 3100 flat top back in 2002 on sale for $850, I think they retail for around $1600 now. You got a great price on it too.

I searched everywhere for information on a small stove. I do not need a very big sove to heat a 8x12 cabin. THEY ARE HARD TO FIND. I unfortunately found one of the cheap Chinese models for 20 bucks but I didnt feel like dying in my sleep. I kept searching and finally found a small stove made by Waterford, in Ireland. I have heard nothing but good things about the Waterford brand. It is about the same size as a Jotul 602. I cannot wait to hook it up. I have since picked up a Jotul 602 but someone burned the heck out of it, cracking the sides. I may fix it and swap them out.
