I was asked to build one more cabin at the end of fall. I said yes, but It's taken forever to get done. A couple days ago our cold weather broke. It was the first day above freezing since Nov., crazy.

Now in just a few days, I finished the cabin, then headed right to mine to snow blow a 1,500' driveway with 14'' of settled snow. It was so nice to be there again. I haven't been there since deer season, Nov. It took five hours to clear, and had little time to enjoy it. I did take an hour snowmobile ride around and it seems that my land in going to be a wintering yard for the deer. Lot of activity and I haven't put out any feed. Next weekend I'll bring the wife and grandkids, ice skates, snowshoes and the snowmobiles. I'm so happy to be back at it.

You have a very beautiful place. I can only hope that my place is as nice as yours. Where are you again?

Thanks SandyR, I'm between Duluth MN, and Mpls. / St.Paul and a little west.
I hope to have a lot of cabin stories in the weeks to come.

Glad you were able to get to your place and clear it out Owen. I did the same this weekend, shoveled off the porch and solar panels, and enjoyed myself. It was so nice to be outside enjoying winter without having your nostrils freeze together!

HaHaHaHaHaHaHa Made me choke on my Mini Wheats!!!!!!

The way to avoid that is to say hunkered in. I was indoors for the whole week. Finally ventured out Friday night to pick up a pizza. It felt good to be out yesterday in just a sweatshirt and today the sun is ACTUALLY shining! AMAZING! That should help everybodies moods.

Glad you both got dug out. My cabin is sitting sad waiting for someone to come enjoy it too. It hasn't been plowed all winter either. Last time there was November also. I miss it tremendously, hopefully soon I can go.

Owen, I sure like that deep porch on that cabin...someone's gonna do a lot of 'front porch sittin' I hope!

Hi Owen, I just love the porches! Your cabin looks so cosy. Glad to hear you got back to work after all the winter weather. I'm looking forward to hearing about your winter cabin adventures and seeing some photos.
