Cool! I wish the trees were still green like in your photos! Instead we have snow... blah.
Anyway, where is your cabin located (roughly)? Looks like Missouri or Arkansas to me so I'm curious. I bet that stove will heat ya out of there real quick if you're not careful!

Very nice. And keeping the cost down is a big part of the fun/challenge. I can't tell - what's your flooring? It looks good.

Welcome. I'm new here too. I love your French doors and large window in the back wall. Did you order building with those or did you add them yourself?

The location is just outside of Eureka Spring Ar. And yes, you are correct about the stove. Ive had it for years so it didn't cost me anything, but it will need to be replaced with a smaller air tight stove. All the doors and windows in this building were salvaged for close to nothing. The floor and the 1/4in plywood(basically paneling) walls were the only things I bought new. The floor boards are just 1x12 pine that I stained.
To cut coss ,if youre thinking about one of these buildings, PAY UPFRONT. You will pay three times as much in some cases if you don't. Also, get them built without doors and windows. They charge anywhere from $100-$250 for each window/door. I have less than $100 invested in my doors/windows and most were never used. If you buy a building that's over 12" wide, it costs more per sq ft. This is because, to transport on any public roadway, they are required to hire flaggers, extra trucks, ect. for anything over 12"w so they tack the extra transport cost onto the price per sq ft. Also, I chose to get one without a front porch because it cuts into your interior sq ft. Its Cheaper(especially if its salvaged lumber) to build your own porch, to your own specifications, than to pay the extra money.
These buildings can, basically, be bought for the amount of what the new materials would cost, if you keep these things into consideration. This was perfect for me because I had no help, other than getting the 400lb wood stove in there...(sigh). I did everything myself with little experience and mostly hand tools. If you have little or no experience, are on a tight budget, or don't have the help you need to construct something from the ground up, these buildings are a good option. They are made out of plywood, t11, and 2x4s.
I had plans drawn up for a 16'x16' cabin that I had factored new lumber cost(w/o foundation or roof) at around $3800. This building cost me right around there constructed, delivered, and leveled(I re-leveled it later). And its more sq ft than my original plans. And, since its not a permanent foundation, it doesn't effect your property taxes as much. Another benefit ia hadn't thought about beforehand, is that it can be moved faily easily, to any location at anytime.

My wife and I have three of these buildings now. One 12x30 is work shop. She has ceramic studio set up in a 12x32 and a 12x20. Soon we will purchase a 12x32 with loft. It is going on 80 acres we own two miles from where we live. Off grid, with solar. Shallow well with creek will provide water. They are very well built buildings, and we insulated ours. It was in the single digit temps here two weeks ago, and my shop was 72 inside with a small electric oil heater. The building we want 12x32 will cost $5200 delivered and set up.
