After years of looking finally found at property that had all the right mixes of what I was looking for. I closed on my 55 acres October of last year and started working until my desire to go bow hunting took over the desire to finish work.

Hello ATB

I'm curious about your trusses. Is that an engineered design or did you do that 'off the cuff' so to speak. Looks like you get a fair amount of snow wherever you are, and its held up fine so far.

After doing the frame the pull of peak deer season took my time. I cheated and recruited the local amish gentleman who has a company that makes barns and sheds to finish building it for me. So I didn't make the roof portion, hopefully they built with good specs its what I paid for! We have had a beast of a winter don't remember this much snow since the late 70s and so far its held fine.

I grew up between Saginaw and points north (West Branch, Rose City, Gaylord). I live out in Colorado now and don't envy you the snow or the cold at all. I've grown chicken over the years. Great looking place.

i love Michigan.
we were there for five years when i was a kid.at Kincheloe air force base.
oh my gosh.so cold.loved it there.nice place u have.
55 acres?! wow.pretty cool.

Normally I love the 4 seasons but last winter was brutal. I imagine Kincheloe being in the UP made it even colder when you were there!
