I purchased a thermo-electric lamp off of Kijiji. It turns one tea light candle into electricity for 8 led lights. They in turn are the equivalent of 18 tea lights. The whole thing is a little gimmicky but does work albeit the tech. is pricey.

they show it in a gas stove think how many gas cans you have to carry and burn up just to charge your phone one time
using it over a campfire makes more sense but i guess you have to make sure it doesnt boil dry

I remember seeing a little unit that burned branches and sticks found at the campsite and in turn charged your phone.
