its very important to keep it well sealed...Its nailed with ring shanked nails which work really well... hard to get the cupping out once it starts... best bet is to catch it when it is soaking wet from after a rain and it will be more plyable. Once you get it renailed and it dries out ... reseal it with a quality outdoors sealer or stain

My Siding came Kiln Dried. A little more money but money well spent. Stove hooked up. Now maybe I can work there this winter.

All are great cabins in upstate. What kind of insulation are you using for floor joist when built on piers?

Antler I am buying a cabin in Redfield and she needs work. Where did you source your adirondack siding locally? Thanks-B

Do you have anymore pics from the interior? Thinking of using same plan for my cabin in Virginia. Looks great. Thanks

There seems to be enough of you in New York that you should have a gathering somewhere this summer. Maybe someone has a place with a fair amount of parking and a motel nearby. A two day BBQ and information and tall tale sharing could be a lot of fun.

I need to figure out a way to flatten out my boards and reattach them before it gets real bad. I have cedar. May I ask how you installed yours? Nails? Screws?

How about ring shank? Most siding nails I find, especially if its a coil nailer is ring shank. I installed my siding using ring shank. No coming out, so make no errors.
