Wow! Outstanding clip!

And keep in mind folks, please dispose of baling twine in a way that Ospreys cant find it. its been discovered that they have a fatal attraction to it, incorporating it into nests, and birds becoming entangled and dying from it.

Neb~great video--they are a LOT better fisherman than me..

Malamute~~ picked up 2 pieces of orange bailing twine yesterday at my pond. I guess if was dropped while we were putting out wheat straw and grassing around the pond last fall.

you can almost hear that skate (flounder?) thinking, well, I always wanted to try flying.

once saw an osprey carrying a long rope and thought geez. poor bird. tangled up. then she lands in the nest (out of sight). eventually she comes flying back across the river where I wuz fishing. turns out they hunt snakes and what I probably saw was a black rat snake getting turned into dinner.

good tip on the baling twine. It also eats parts off your tractor (don't ask).

I have several Osprey and Eagles nests close by. I'm hoping to get some good photos and maybe some film footage.

Curious has anyone ever seen an owl do this? I have a barred owl that will attempt to catch I think its frogs in a creek close to my place. It wont hover, just swoops in and lands in the water, It flew to a tree and was eating something but it was too far away to make out what it caught. I have only witnessed this twice.
