Oh, that looks GOOD!!! And, hey, it's metal -- it's solid and isn't going anywhere in bad weather and over time, unlike shingles.
It's my understanding that the tricky part of metal roofing is actually in the screws and seams. The pressure/seal and overlap have to be right or leaks can result. But the types of screws/washer thingies they sell now really help with that.
Looks like you done good. REALLY good!

Oh, forgot. Speaking of metal roofing, I saw a roofer on Klamath Craigs List offering 4500 square feet of metal roofing that he got stuck with because the customers decided they didn't like the color. It cost him $16,000, he said. (Sounds steep to me but I think it was special order FOR the color and probably a really good grade.)
Anyhoo, I rather liked the color and, if I was there, I certainly would have bought 1,000 square feet of it. He said he'd possibly be available to install it. Poor guy. Hope he can recoup some of his loss.

grandsons been with us.we wanted him to stay the summer but hes missing his ma and his ps3.
soo.the grandson got the groudn squirrel that has been bugging me for two seasons.yay.
i told him we would pay him 5$ a ground squirrel.he took the ax out to the meadow and dug up all the tunnels the ground squirrels made.then he ran out of bb's.
so grandpa and him are learning how to shoot the .22.

he caught three squirrels .a big old grey one and two golden mantles.just kept them like a day to look and see what they do.we looked up what to feed them but we let them go.
then the ground squirrel.the one he got was so fat.its the one whose been eating my garden for two seasons.yay.
he only got one cause he was out of bb's by then...
hes having a great time but mama comes tomorrow to get her boy.hes all happy to see his ma and play station 3.lol.

wow, Gary, the shop is looking amazing! so happy you had your grandson for a visit. mine are coming tomorrow. they will be bored in a heartbeat, save for riding some of grandpa's tractors.

Yes, 4x4 construction.
A bit of a timber frame scheme.
Went with the simplest design I could think up.
All angles 45°
Also, abandoned the bird's mouth on the rafters.
Ripped 4x4s @ 45°
Screwed them to the top plates.
Became a concern.
Then lag bolted an additional 2x4.
As far as connecting the other 4xs, I've drilled and toenail screwed deck screws until I decide to go with gussets and/or lag bolts.
I don't see needing a king post or anything more in the interior for support due to the pitch.
I sure don't want it.
Want the storage area.
I know, it's mostly overbuild.
It's what I do.
I like the looks.

Well, I'm no long range planner, but here's the extent of what I deem to be the next several years;
Build the shop
Add the lean to carporch to the front.
Add the lean to utility to the back.
Add a lean to porch to the second cabin (ready winter wood/kindling axes, hatchets, snow shovels, roof rakes).
Build a connecting deck to the two cabins with an enclosed walk way from the bedroom to the kitchen.
Get serious with solar.
Plot out a larger house/cabinish two room structure on the other lot closer to the meadow, with wrap around deck.
Meantime find/buy/rebuild '49 Willys pickup to enhance my local travels in searching for unique wood aimed at elfin furniture creations.
Tween chopping wood and shoveling snow I plan on becoming more dedicated to attending my Nikon and what nature will show me.
If I can get there with most my marbles and my woman remains by my side.....no complaints.
I'll do my best to write about it all.

Its 9:15 pm , dark as a dead dogs innards , and its 1.5 degrees C ( 34 F ) outside....I sure would love to come over for a visit.

working in the garden.fighting the squirrels.shot two ground squirrels today.
well nicked them.one fell over writhing all about.i ran to get another bb pellet and when i came back it was gone.garyo said it probably crawled off to die.
they are eating everything.every nite i have to cover all the plants with any containers i can find.
they love to eat the leaves of the blueberry plants i bought.
so far we have cabbage growing,broccoli,onions are doing very good.horseradish is grand.the sage,dill, and mint...nothing touches those.
i planted squashes and tomatoes.want to get eggplant soon.
planted green beans.
so just sitting out n my garden trying to shoot squirrels.
