I was awakened to the songbirds, rejoicing another beautiful sunny morning here in northern Minnesota. We've been blessed with really nice weather lately, upper 60s being the norm. Today will be no exception.
After a few cups of my chaga/coffee mix, I'll be heading for the cabin.
This time I'll be going to relax.
I got some work I'd like to get done, but it's not much.
I'm ashamed to admit it, but he majority of my time will be spent in front of the 55" watching hockey playoffs and drinking a few beers. The Wild play at 2pm. Be great to catch the game at the cabin!
Got some raking to do outside(between periods) and a little organizing inside.I'm sure I'll find more things to do than I planned.
I've been looking forward to this weekend for the last few weeks and now it's here.
Have a great weekend everyone

55"???
My camp ain't big enough to hold a 55" tv. Having just returned after spending the majority of the winter in the south I'm beginning to feel the pain of those who are yearning to get to their camps, open up, clean up, get them ready for the summer, unless you're one of those who uses your place year round, of course.
Enjoy! Happy camp season to all!

Mmmmm..
The recliner feels so good.
Peace. Quiet.
This is living...

Great day today! Got a lot accomplished, raking done place organized. Beautiful sunshiny day!
Temps topped out at 65degrees, but has dropped a little.. started a fire to take the chill off.
Tested the shower out for the first time tonite. I tell ya.. there's nothing like a good shower when you need one

As I type this, it's 44degrees outside, and a toasty 72 inside. Of course the oil lamp is lit and I'm loving the cozy light it gives.
Can't get any better than this

My wife and I just made a weekend trip to our cabin. It was our first time up since February. There was still some snow on the ground. I was quite happy to see that the place survived the winter. No trees down etc, turned the water on and no leaks, everything in order! I did some measuring and planning to finish off my sauna/bunkie I have been working on. Although it was a short trip, it was well worth it to be able to enjoy coffee on the porch with my wife while listening to nature!

We are headed out west for weekend at cabin.Depending on weather we plan on staining deck but it could rain, snow or shine(possibly all 3).Get a little flyfishing in and otherwise be rocky mountain high.Really looking forward to it.
