Ok...so I love PB&J.

(Not chunky) peanut butter and grape jelly is my favorite. On toast!!

And, the toppings must be think! Almost or thicker than the bread. Makes a cheap, delicious meal. I just ate 4 slices. #sleepy

So, how do you like your PB&J?
Mmmm
Mmmm

I simply must try that!! I love honey on cereal or cornbread. Sounds fantastic on peanut butter.

Both of these ^. Butter the bread first. It really adds to the flavor.

There is an Amish store about 20 miles from my house.
They make the peanut butter right in front of you.
Add that to their homemade jam and fresh home baked bread is nearly to die for.
I need to swing by there tomorrow. After reading this now I am hungry

12 Midnight
Franz Old fashioned white bread
Imperial margarine (or real butter)
Adam's Old Fashioned chunky; peanuts, salt
Smucker's strawberry jam

Thick
Slathered
Gits on yer fingers and face
Milk....outa the jug

Another, the works

2:10AM
Horrendous cramps

2:23AM
stubborn, hesitant rabbit pellets

2:57AM
Noise ridden spitting salad shooter

Or

When the little woman is out;
Adam's and jam (any) on crackers
Or
Adam's on chips (any)
Or
Adam's and Adam's

Big spoon

Here's the deal;

Summer, 1954
Connie Ekert was out front of her house
Cradling a slice of white wonder bread (builds strong bodies 12 ways), we had brown something (builds bodies only two or three ways, prolly)
The Skippy peanut butter was glistening in the midday sun
Connie's family was poor
That had to have been her breakfast...and lunch
She was takin' her sweet time...nibbling on the crust
I dropped my bike......and stared
I had had a large heaping bowl of oatmeal only an hour or so earlier

'can I have a bite?'

I got a corner

Ohhhh-hohhh-hoh

My first

After that, I could live on peanut butter

I have lived on peanut butter

But

My palate is more defined now, more mature

I require milk

(akshly, a plain open faced PB and bread followed by a swig of cola is purty durn good too)

Could be the quickest, simplest, most satisfying food in the history of mankind.

And I'm with you on the milk. My tail wags till it cramps.

Big peanut butter fan here!

May I recommend butter, peanut butter and maple butter sandwiches.

Maple butter: Maple syrup, butter and powdered sugar.

When we go to Amish country there is a store that sells peanut butter made from honey roasted peanuts. I don't even bother with anything else. I just eat it with a table spoon.

Between Salty and Gary, we have the makings of a Small Cabin Comedy Festival or Tour

Peanut butter and grape jelly, marmalade or red current jelly are my preferences

or

Peanut butter and bananas

sometimes I use almond or cashew butter and add the same side kicks as above.

Wash down with chocolate milk or almond milk and repeat.

toyota_mdt_tech is also a peanut butter junkie. I too like Adams Gary, I think Adams is a northwest deal only, they dont have it in other regions. I can do creamy or chunky. Like them both.

Well, now I'm sad for the rest of 'Merica.

Thing is, the gallon jars sometimes sit on the grocer's shelf too long.
When that happens, there's a real migration of oil to the top.
The bottom, well, that stuff could be used as adobe.
Even turning the jar upside down before opening don't do it.
Cabi's right forearm is noticeably larger than her left due to the years of stirring that stuff with a wooden spoon.

Oh, I've offered to help, but she's onto me and the rapid inventory decline of the new jar...

Trader Joes peanut butter is pretty decent but one of the perks of my cabin is that the Once Again Nut Butter factory is 15 minutes away. This place makes all sorts of eclectic peanut butter to die for. That topped with my mother in laws jam on a decent bread is a side trip to heaven

Almond butter and homemade jam on an apple cinnamon rice cake. That and a cup of hot tea to get it unstuck from the roof of my mouth and under my tongue!

That's my breakfast at the cabin.

When I first got married, we rented a single wide in the middle of an apple orchard on a dairy farm. Got home made PB in the small town, my mom grew tons of strawberrys and made jellys and jams, got the milk fresh from the girls after milking. A little Hershey's syrup....Nummm.
Oh, can't forget the chips.

Maybe you can order it online???

http://www.adamspeanutbutter.com/

I see they have a no stir now.

Notice the ingredients in it is "peanuts" and some will say "peanuts with a smidge of salt. I buy the natural unsalted stuff.
Adams 100% Natural
Adams 100% Natural
Adams "no stir" (new???)

Elvis's favorite food was fried PB and banana sandwiches:

http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/nigella-lawson/elvis-presleys-fried-peanut-butter- and-banana-sandwich-recipe.html

When he passed away he had been suffering from severe 'irregularity' and was diagnosed with an impacted colon, so be careful how much of this stuff you eat, delicious as it is.
