looking for ideas
i plan to place an rv style freshwater tank in kitchen area and use 12 on demand rv pump for cold water to sink.
wells are cost prohibitive for me right now.
i am looking for suggestions on getting water into the tank. i hurt my back and lugging 5-7 gallon containers and pouring from them are not helping. i was thinking of a second tank in the back of my truck and similar pump to fill from my truck. i'm sure someone on here has solved this problem before.

I have a 200 gal tank on a trailer that I fill at the well. Then I park the trailer next to my cabin. The tank on the trailer has a spigot with a quick connect hose coupler attached. Hose goes from my 12vt pump under the sink out through the wall to the trailer just outside. We only use the water for washing dishes, clothes, and us, so the system works well with just a good cleaning of the tank and hose about every 60 days.

There are a number of collapsible water tanks, which are essentially large plastic bags that conform and fill your truck bed. Maybe one of these will meet your need.

if you just looking for basic water but not for cooking.... my uncle set up a gutter system along one side of his roof line. all drains down into a 300 gallon water tank that he got. he uses that water to flush the tolet since he has a leech field but no well. Figured why pay a few grand for a well when he doesnt use the place that much but he got septic done for cheap since he had the equipment to do it. Good for a simple sink set up too if your draining into a small leach field

I have an rv tank under the sink counter nearest the outer wall with the old fill line attached to a large diameter faucet head thru the wall i run a line from a collapsable water tank in the bed of my truck and open the vent valve installed by me in the top of the tank. Nice whistling sound that drives the dogs nuts, cheap entertainment is what my gf says.
